Montana Home Security Alarm Monitoring Q&A

is it possible for a wireless home security system to cause interference with other remote controls? recently had a security system put on my home which uses wireless sensors. in less than a week, my remote controls for my digital cable box and tv are not working as they should. I have to be about a foot or so away from the cable box for it to work and when it does it only works for a few seconds. Replaced cable box remote with a new one and still the same thing. any help would be greatly appreciated on what to do or who to call.
no cable and TVs user Infra-red remotes, that require Line-of-Site. Security systems use a wireless RF technology, so its completely unrelated. Possibly your security system could mess with your cordless phones, or wireless internet/networking, but your TV/cable can't be related. what you are describing sounds like what can happen ... What would be the best city in america to sell home security? I work for a home alarm company and we get to pick which city go to sell in. I have sold in tampa bay; miami; spokane, WA; reno,NV. All were decent but tampa had bad credit (must have credit score above 600). Reno was the best because i don't think there were alot of people that went door-to-door to sell alarms. in florida it was more difficult because the market was more saturated
Detroit and especially the surrounding communities. If GM shuts down, those who are still working will need them.
What kind of home security camera should I get? Looking for some tips and ideas for buying home security cameras for our home (outdoor surveillance).
I would recommend a weatherproof security camera system with infrared sensors. Wireless security cameras are most convenient as well. If you are on a tight budget, you could try dummy cameras. As long as they are clearly visible, they may scare some bad guys away.
