How to reset a home security system? My nephew just bought a remodeled home. It was a flip house. This house has a brinks home security system and no codes or manuel was left in the house. Brinks wont help him reset the alarm unless he signs a 3 yr contract. He doesn't want to use an outside service, he just wants it to sound if someone breaks in. Anyone know how to reset it?
The codes indicate that the panel can not communicate with Brinks. There is nothing you can do with that system and it's not user programmable. All you can do is power down the system and shut the whole thing down.
How do I make my old computer into a home security system with cameras? I have this old computer lying around and I want to install some cameras into my home. What do I need to make this work? For example, what software and other necessary stuff do I need for my computer? Also, I don't want to spend a lot of money on this, so cheap tips please. Thanks
