Alabama Home Security Alarm Monitoring Q&A

How difficult is it to install home security system yourself? I am not an electrical engineer but have some basic do-it-myself knowledge. Also any ideas of what I might need to protect my house from burglary. And fire.
I'm going to be the cog in the wheel here. Yes it is fairly easy to install a security system. Hardwire does involve a little more time but is definately worth the effort. Wireless, particularly do-it-youself versions will leave you wasting your money. Anyone who tells you differently is trying to ... [full answer]
What is the best home security system out there that is budget friendly? I live in Central New Jersey. Thanks! Just purchased a home and am interested in installing a home security system. Since there are so many companies out there, I was looking for other's personal experiences with home security companies. Good and bad? Also something that won't break the bank!! Thanks everyone!
Google it! As for being budget friendly they don't cost that much to montor its just the install price. Call around!
How Safe Are Wireless Home Security Systems? Are wireless home security systems safe? No I'm not a burglar, just curious in how it works and how safe it really is. We all know if you have an alarm set to the phone-line someone can cut the lines, if you have digital phone someone can just turn the power off your house, or do both. So can a disrupter knock out the system signals? The real question is, "How safe are any Home Security Systems?"
Wireless security systems are highly inferior when compared to their Hardwire counterparts. The sad fact is, the only reason alarm companies install wireless is because it is easier and monitored alarm systems are a numbers game... the faster you get them in the more money you end up making. Truthfully, ... [full answer]
